|Description||Larry N. Burch, is a successful trial attorney and former Navy JAG Officer. Over the past 22 years, Mr. Burch has represented clients in cases involving civil and criminal litigation; including highdollar medical malpractice and personal injury cases, civil litigation as well as military personnel matters. He has appeared on Fox 5 News and WUSATV 9 as a commentator on military law issues.
Mr. Burch was born and raised in Washington, D.C. (a 1981 graduate of Wilson High School) he earned his Bachelor’s degree (in English with honors) from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 1991, Mr. Burch graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law (one of the nation’s top 20 law schools). During law school, he a member of The Iowa Law Review as well as a Case Editor on the Moot Court Board. Following law school, Mr. Burch returned to the D.C. area to serve as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Audrey Melbourne in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, Maryland. In 1992, Mr. Burch became a member of the Maryland Bar and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG Corps).
After completing active duty in 1996, Mr. Burch began a solo law practice; however, he continued to serve as a Navy Reserve officer providing legal assistance to military families at the National Naval Medical Center and other legal services until 2007. In total, Mr. Burch served 15 years as a Navy JAG Corps officer (both on active duty and as a drilling reservist). Since leaving the Navy, Mr. Burch has continued to represent military service members and dependents as a civilian attorney in both military and civilian legal issues.
